I feel like every kid should experience summer time in the South. I remember waking up every summer morning and being so excited to get outside! I was raised in Hueytown, Alabama (and yes -- it’s as small as it sounds.) My grandparents lived two doors down from me and would baby sit my cousins and I while our parents worked.
As parents, creating a safe and nurturing environment for our little ones is our top priority. From the crib they sleep in to the toys they play with, every choice we make can have a profound impact on their health and well-being. One crucial consideration that often gets overlooked is the importance of non-toxic choices for baby furniture and products, particularly when it comes to furniture finishes.
September is always a breath of fresh air. The busyness of summer comes to a close, and the freshness of a new school season begins. It also reminds us of all the fun activities associated with fall! Just as people with a past are interesting, so is furniture that looks as though it’s lived through some rough patches. Intentionally shabby, slightly worn furniture is in vogue, and we are obsessed with it.
One thing that living in a small house has taught me over the last two years is that organization is vital.
I cannot emphasize this enough – our family has a lot of stuff, no matter how hard we try to keep our belongings to a minimum, and the only way we can survive living in a 1,100 square foot house is by making sure every inch of it is as organized as possible.
